Impeccable customer service
I'll start with the knife. It's beautiful and highly functional. I'm mostly using it for skinning wild boar just now and it's lovely to work with. The handle fits numerous different grips really well and I didn't find it getting too slippery with a bit of claret on it which was a nice surprise. The blade is relatively easy to get a razor edge on and seams to keep it really well even when you're taking the feet and head off.
Now the customer service, I was truly gob smacked how good it was. About a day or two after I'd placed my order I received a phone call from Sweden from a lovely English bloke (sorry I didn't get your name) saying one of my items was out of stock in the UK distribution centre so he'd ship from Sweden if that was okay and if I wanted to change my order to get an all black setup he could sort that out. I was almost speechless but managed a 'hell yeah'. So I got more than I had expected delivered faster. How often does that happen. I'll be recommending Casstrom to everyone at the hunt from now on.
No.10 Swedish Forest Knife - KYDEX SHEATH

Useful accessory
I already have one of these danglers for my RM bushcraft knife, but I wanted to modify the leather sheath for my Fallkniven A1 Pro to make it quick release. I removed the old belt attachment and rivet, fitted the dangler attachment and replaced the sheath rivet with a Chicago screw. It makes the whole thing much more user friendly, I don’t know why Fallkniven don’t fit these as standard.

Good for skin conditions and cuts/grazes
I thought I would try this for a natural salva for my hands and skin, I get cut hands through work and sore patches, spots on my forearms which just don’t heal for months. Look unsightly and itch, I tried this and covered the area with salve, within a few days the skin red patches and soreness started to lessen and now after a couple of weeks they are nearly gone, my skin/arm doesn’t itch all the time and the skin is going back to normal. Before it would take months and have a patch of raised red skin scars tissue.
I also used it in a bad cut with a bahco Laplander saw, on my finger, I was distracted for a moment. Anyway, the salva filled the cut gap and stopped any infection and pain, that was 2 weeks ago, it is a lot better, healthier and cleaner now. It’s made a world of difference to my skin and cuts/grazes.

A solid, versatile and beautifully made Knife
Bought to replace my old workhorse. Very impressed so far, a brilliantly versatile and Hardy knife, holds an edge well and can handle heavy duty tasks like battening but equally suited to fine work. Together with the ferro rod, they've made easy work of firelighting

Fantastic knife
I have had my knife about 18 months now and last year I used the knife on a Ray Mears Bushcraft course for a week. I used the knife all day everyday, it was a joy to use, it did everything comfortably it was required to do. It was much admired on the course.
I do a lot of spoon/bowl making, bushcraft skills and fire lighting with my blade. It does everything I need, up to needing to get an axe out.
It feels a big knife at first, I started with a smaller different company Swedish knife brand, when I moved up to this knife it was a bit intimidating. But after respecting the knife and learning it, it actually feels perfect size in my hand for bushcraft use. Solid dependable, comfortable and easy to use. It really is a beautiful knife and a joy to use.
The sheath is well made, I got the one without the fire starter, it polishes up beautifully with the casstrom Lapland leather was, a lovely deep rich colour. It holds the knife well and does not slip out.
I am very happy with the knife and sheath, I will use and treasure them for a very long time. I made the right choice when purchasing this.
In the photo, the blade is currently being resharpened with Japanese water stones, after damage from a hidden nail in a bit of wood.
Used this knife for the first time at the weekend & it was everything I hoped it would be. Whether batoning, carving, feather sticks & a bit of food prep all was easy to do with good results & it looks good too.
