I don't usually write reviews but this knife exceeds expectations! Beautifully crafted, sturdy & just feels so good to handle.
I'm getting on in years & not really engaged in bushcraft for way too long (I've been a deer stalker in the Scottish Highlands & lived in the NC mountains) but I have a grandson now who is so eager to build shelters in the woods, make campfires etc that I wanted to find the perfect functional knife for the job...
And this is it! I've always preferred carbon steel.

I bought the Castro Swede 88 knife from Castrom which I am very happy with with. It has a wood handle which is great for use in the cold weather.
I was contacted by a rep from Castrom to inform me we’re out of stock for my initial choice and offered an alternative instead to which I agreed and am happy with that decision.
The knife is a short blade length to comply with the UK laws governing the blade length which is not a problem as I use the knife on my hiking and camping trips.
The knife is very lightweight which is great for a reduced pack weight.
