When you want your knife sheath properly cared for, leave it to a knife company.
Casström's Lapland Leather Wax is our own blend, formulated to protect cases, knife sheaths, and holsters to ensure that they maintain their rigidity and shape. Other leather greases, waxes, and oils available on the market are best suited for leather products that need to be softened to maintain their flexibility, such as boots, saddles, and gloves. In making the leather supple, these products risk weakening those leather goods that are shaped to a specific size to hold what it is supposed to protect, such as a knife.
Contains beeswax, carnauba wax, and neatsfoot oil.
FEATURES
Maintains rigidity and form
Beeswax based formula
Waterproofs the leather
Protects against dirt and grime
How to Use: Apply the wax with a piece of cloth directly to the leather. Let the wax dry on the leather for approx. 30 minutes and polish off the surface with a clean piece of cloth. After about 24 hours, the leather can be repolished for the best results. The leather now has a protective layer that makes the surface resistant to dirt and moisture. Reapply when necessary, or at least a couple of times a year. Close the jar securely to prevent the wax from drying out.
Light leather may become slightly darker after use and matt leather will become glossier.
Produced in Sweden. Net weight about 20g. Contents: Solvents, beeswax, carnauba wax, neatsfoot oil, and pigments.
Classification according to CLP: Non-hazardous mixture Safety data sheets are available for request.
I needed a new EDC knife and this fit the bill perfectly l. Nice robust handle, easy opening and secure when open. Nice weight, just perfect if you are after a decent affordable EDC knife
Great knife, feels good in the hand not too small, perfect little knife for in the field gralloching roe/fallow/muntjac/Chinese
Only thing I would say is that sheath could do with a bit more retention of the knife, it will never fall out just doesn’t have that really snug feel to it, apart from that I’d give it 5 starts
Another excellent purchase from Casstrom. Received this one as a birthday gift. Leo went above and beyond to ensure we could get the knife engraved with custom text. As always excellent build quality by Casstrom. Sturdy sheath of good quality leather. Razor sharp out the box, haven’t needed to sharpen it yet but sure it will be as easy to sharpen as my other Casstrom knives. Fire steel is a lot thicker than I expected and should last a long time.

Impeccable customer service
I'll start with the knife. It's beautiful and highly functional. I'm mostly using it for skinning wild boar just now and it's lovely to work with. The handle fits numerous different grips really well and I didn't find it getting too slippery with a bit of claret on it which was a nice surprise. The blade is relatively easy to get a razor edge on and seams to keep it really well even when you're taking the feet and head off.
Now the customer service, I was truly gob smacked how good it was. About a day or two after I'd placed my order I received a phone call from Sweden from a lovely English bloke (sorry I didn't get your name) saying one of my items was out of stock in the UK distribution centre so he'd ship from Sweden if that was okay and if I wanted to change my order to get an all black setup he could sort that out. I was almost speechless but managed a 'hell yeah'. So I got more than I had expected delivered faster. How often does that happen. I'll be recommending Casstrom to everyone at the hunt from now on.

Useful accessory
I already have one of these danglers for my RM bushcraft knife, but I wanted to modify the leather sheath for my Fallkniven A1 Pro to make it quick release. I removed the old belt attachment and rivet, fitted the dangler attachment and replaced the sheath rivet with a Chicago screw. It makes the whole thing much more user friendly, I don’t know why Fallkniven don’t fit these as standard.

Good for skin conditions and cuts/grazes
I thought I would try this for a natural salva for my hands and skin, I get cut hands through work and sore patches, spots on my forearms which just don’t heal for months. Look unsightly and itch, I tried this and covered the area with salve, within a few days the skin red patches and soreness started to lessen and now after a couple of weeks they are nearly gone, my skin/arm doesn’t itch all the time and the skin is going back to normal. Before it would take months and have a patch of raised red skin scars tissue.
I also used it in a bad cut with a bahco Laplander saw, on my finger, I was distracted for a moment. Anyway, the salva filled the cut gap and stopped any infection and pain, that was 2 weeks ago, it is a lot better, healthier and cleaner now. It’s made a world of difference to my skin and cuts/grazes.

A solid, versatile and beautifully made Knife
Bought to replace my old workhorse. Very impressed so far, a brilliantly versatile and Hardy knife, holds an edge well and can handle heavy duty tasks like battening but equally suited to fine work. Together with the ferro rod, they've made easy work of firelighting
