Wilderness Mastery in the Palm of Your Hand

In collaboration with renowned Swedish survival expert Lars Fält, Casström brings you the ultimate outdoor tool for your wilderness adventures - the Lars Fält Knife. Designed with precision and built for performance, this premium bushcraft knife is ready to tackle any challenge that Mother Nature throws your way.

Whether you're venturing out on a long backpacking or camping trip, or honing your survival skills closer to home in your local woods, the Lars Fält knife is your dependable companion, designed to help you thrive in the wilds.

KEY FEATURES

    • Built to Last The strong, full-tang construction ensures unwavering reliability in the great outdoors. Even if your knife handle breaks, a full-tang knife can still be easily used. The stable Zero Scandi grind is perfect for survival and bushcraft tasks such as woodcarving or splitting wood, or batoning wood, for the campfire.
    • Superior Blade Performance Made from rugged Sleipner carbon steel, the blade holds an edge and is easy to sharpen and strop in the field. Casström knife blades are all cryogenically-quenched using nitrogen gas, which enhances wear-resistance and helps fulfill the true potential of the steel.
    • Ergonomic Handle Design In addition to the warm aesthetic of Scandinavian curly birch, the hand-finished wood handle also offers a secure and comfortable grip, even during prolonged use.
    • Ready for the Field Supplied with a vegetable-tanned European leather sheath, the knife is ready to attach to your belt and head off out!
    • Guaranteed Quality Backed by our usual 25-year warranty and made entirely in Europe, the Lars Fält Knife is a testament to superior craftmanship.
    • Firesteel Option: For those who need the ultimate survival knife, this model includes our fantastic 12,000+ strike Auermetall Fire Steel (with matching handle of curly birch), and a leather sheath with integral fire steel loop. Firelighting has never been this easy!

    SPECIFICATION

    • Grind: Zero Scandinavian
    • Handle: Oiled Curly Birch from sustainable forestry, black liners, brass hardware
    • Measurements: Total 23 cm/Blade 115 x 29 x 4 mm
    • Sheath: 3 mm Vegetable-tanned leather (European) with drain hole
    • Steel: Uddeholm Sleipner, recycled, 60-61 HRC on the Rockwell Scale
    • EAN 7340111118045

A Zero Scandi grind knife can benefit from a secondary micro bevel to increase its durability. A 20–25-degree angle per side (40-50 degrees in total) is recommended if the knife will be used for a lot of batoning or other heavy-duty tasks, particularly at temperatures below 0 degrees Celsius.

    Fantastic knife

I have had my knife about 18 months now and last year I used the knife on a Ray Mears Bushcraft course for a week. I used the knife all day everyday, it was a joy to use, it did everything comfortably it was required to do. It was much admired on the course.
I do a lot of spoon/bowl making, bushcraft skills and fire lighting with my blade. It does everything I need, up to needing to get an axe out.
It feels a big knife at first, I started with a smaller different company Swedish knife brand, when I moved up to this knife it was a bit intimidating. But after respecting the knife and learning it, it actually feels perfect size in my hand for bushcraft use. Solid dependable, comfortable and easy to use. It really is a beautiful knife and a joy to use.
The sheath is well made, I got the one without the fire starter, it polishes up beautifully with the casstrom Lapland leather was, a lovely deep rich colour. It holds the knife well and does not slip out.
I am very happy with the knife and sheath, I will use and treasure them for a very long time. I made the right choice when purchasing this.
In the photo, the blade is currently being resharpened with Japanese water stones, after damage from a hidden nail in a bit of wood.

    Beautiful knife and sheath

I am thrilled with this bushcraft knife, it is just beautiful. Very very sharp, after I had oiled the handle, the curly birch really started to show its colour and pattern better.
I’ve not had time to try or test it properly, but it does make very good fire sticks.
It is a lot bigger than my other brand first knife, but it is a lot stronger, thicker, has a nice solid weight in the hand. It has a full tang, which I wanted and very high quality steel, this was important to me, It will last a long time, it is a quality knife.
The sheath is beautiful, now waxed with Lapland leather wax, the leather has come up a treat. I also got the No.3 dangler XL with it, they go fantastically together. As a package fantastic quality and products. Very happy with them, they will make bushcraft easier and I am enjoying using it.

    Lars falt

Last year I bought a karesaundo boar survival knife after watching a few YouTube videos, however after I attended this year’s Bushcraft show 2021, I phoned Leo at Casstrom and asked his opinion after watching videos on YouTube of the Lars falt. The woodsman or the number 10, after going through my Options that I had I firmly decided on the Lars falt. I was concerned about different things like sharpening, easy to rust etc so I rung Leo more than once to talk to him about my concerns I wasn’t sure what I would need being new to Bushcraft (I had been interested in it for years but I didn’t know what I needed so didn’t really do anything) and he Relieved my fears I paid for the Lars falt on Sunday, and it arrived Tuesday morning for around 10 AM,
