Razor-Sharp Performance for Your Outdoor Knives

The Casström Swedish Strop Paste is a premium stropping compound developed to help you achieve a razor-sharp, highly polished knife edge with ease. Made in Sweden using high-quality abrasive materials, this professional-grade knife polishing compound is designed for bushcraft knives, hunting knives, outdoor tools, and everyday carry blades that demand maximum cutting performance.

Whether you're maintaining your favourite bushcraft knife or refining the edge after sharpening, Swedish Strop Paste helps restore exceptional sharpness while improving cutting precision and edge refinement. Used together with a leather strop, it removes burrs, polishes the bevel, and leaves your blade smooth, sharp, and ready for the field.

Crafted by Casström for serious outdoorsmen and knife enthusiasts, this stropping compound is an essential part of any knife maintenance kit.

What Is Swedish Strop Paste?

Swedish Strop Paste is an abrasive polishing compound used to refine and finish the edge of a knife after sharpening. Applied to a leather strop, it helps remove microscopic burrs and imperfections from the blade, resulting in a cleaner, sharper, and more polished cutting edge.

Regular stropping not only improves sharpness but can also help prolong the life of your knife edge between full sharpening sessions.

Available Grits for Every Stage of Edge Refinement

Swedish Strop Paste is available in three carefully selected grits, allowing you to tailor your stropping process depending on the condition of your blade and the level of polish desired.

Grey – Coarse

A coarse aluminium oxide compound designed to remove burrs and create an initial pre-polish on duller or heavily used edges.

White – Medium

A versatile medium-grit aluminium oxide paste ideal for general knife maintenance, refining edges, and removing smaller burrs. An excellent all-round choice for everyday stropping.

Green – Fine

A fine chromium oxide polishing compound that delivers a highly refined, mirror-like finish and an exceptionally sharp edge.

Together, these three grits provide everything needed to maintain shaving-sharp outdoor knives with professional-level edge refinement.

Easy to Apply and Use

Designed specifically for use with leather strops, Swedish Strop Paste is simple and effective to apply. Rub a small amount directly onto the leather surface and begin stropping your blade to refine and polish the edge.

Over time, if excess compound builds up on the strop, it can easily be removed by gently scraping the surface with the spine of an old knife or similar tool.

Whether you’re maintaining a bushcraft knife, hunting knife, carving knife, or outdoor tool, Casström Swedish Strop Paste helps keep your edge performing at its very best.
